An interview with Curtis Worrall, Owner
What made you decide to get into the business of food/drink?
Twenty two years ago when I decided to open Whispering Vine, I felt there was a need to learn about wine and experience wine tasting in an unpretentious manner. We started with a 1000 square-foot space at our Mayberry location. We had a small 10 seat bar and 400 different wines.
Reno has a wonderful sense of community. It’s such a great place to live and raise a family.
Why are you excited for Reno Restaurant Week?
I’m excited to show new customers what we do at Whispering Vine. I’m also excited to experience what other restaurants have to offer.
What is one thing you’d like your guests to know about you and/or your establishment?
Whispering Vine is dedicated to providing amazing food, a diverse selection of wine and other adult beverages in a friendly atmosphere at a great value.
How are you complying with safety guidelines for COVID-19?
All staff members are self evaluating before work, wearing masks, sanitizing more frequently, and social distancing. We also have our shops spaced for social distancing, encourage wearing masks, making a reservation, and have hand sanitizer stations set up.
