An interview with Rory & Marcia O’Neal, Owners
What made you decide to get into the business of food & drink?
With 30 years working in the restaurant industry, we purchased a Famous Dave’s franchise to continue our love of working with food, friends and the local community of Reno.
Why are you excited for Reno Restaurant Week?
As a community partner we believe it is important to contribute and help others with awareness of their cause. In 2016 we were awarded The Community Spirit Award by The Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce and are proud sponsors of The University Of Nevada, The Reno Rodeo, Hot August Nights and Rollin’ On The River as well as holding special fundraising events annually to support The Special Olympics and Veterans Guest House, among others.
What is one thing you’d like your guests to know about you and/or your establishment?
We would like our community to know we are local, serve the highest quality meats, hand-rub them with the freshest seasonings and smoke in a live-wood smoker over hickory logs and have dine in, curbside to go, patio seating, deliver boxed lunches to businesses and cater events from 10 to 5,000.
How are you complying with safety guidelines for COVID-19?
Now more than ever we are taking real steps to take care of our guests, our team members and our vendor partners.
