Atlantis Casino Resort Spa has proudly taken the pledge to Paint Nevada Pink in support of Nevada Cancer Coalition. Paint Nevada Pink is a statewide campaign that was created by Nevada Cancer Coalition to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer screening. The campaign coincides with October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Breast cancer screening can be intimidating, overwhelming, and a low priority for some women who have questions about when to start screening, how often to screen, and whether they’re affected by things such as genetics or dense breast tissue,” said Cari Herington, Nevada Cancer Coalition’s executive director. “Since we started Paint Nevada Pink we’ve been able help our partners promote one consistent message: annual mammograms beginning at age 40 can find breast cancers earlier when they’re easiest to treat.”
Throughout the month of October, the Atlantis will be promoting breast cancer screening with messaging on the resort’s video marquee off Virginia Street and donating a portion of select items and services back to Nevada Cancer Coalition. View entire list of month-long promotions here.
