I’m insanely lucky to have the very best people in my life. On my team.
One of these people is Johnathan Wright. Many of you know him as the former food editor for the Reno Gazette Journal. I began a friendship with him a couple of years ago and have had the pleasure of getting to know him on a deeper level, most of the time over cocktails at Bistro Napa in the Atlantis. Even before I met Johnathan, I had been a fan of his writing and his articles that are charming, witty and sometimes a little sarcastic.
When I told Johnathan that I was going to plan and execute Reno Food & Drink Week for a second year, he asked me what he could do to help. Most notably, he didn’t want anything in return. We mulled over how he could participate and finally landed on Johnathan writing the blurbs describing each Food & Drink Week participant.
While Johnathan didn’t ask for any recognition for this contribution, I wanted to recognize him anyway — for his generosity, for his devotion to Reno’s food and drink community, and for his friendship.
Thank you, Johnathan.
