In 1957, casino magnate Bill Harrah purchased 141 acres of ranchland, instituting a glamorous destination for stars like Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Red Skelton and Debbie Reynolds. The luxurious Harrah estate played host to some of the world’s most celebrated entertainers, politicians and business people, while offering a private and pristine escape for one of Nevada’s most notable families. Here, among towering trees and the dappled sunlight that shines over the Sierra, a legacy of beauty, warmth, style and elegance was born.

Oh I went with a group here and we got everything for RFW! And all of it was so delicious! Wish this place was open to the public because wow!! Love all the sourcing they do from local farmers too! Really gives you the feeling of eating healthy! And whatever the sauce on that fish was…. Yeah, probably the best I’ve ever had. I’m obsessed!

This has been our “go to” place for the fancy meal of the Reno Food and Drink Week. It’s landed on or near my birthday both years so this has been my “birthday” treat as well. And this year it really lived up to the expectations. We went with friends and of course dinner with friends is always good. But the food here was so creative and flavorful. I opted for the special (last year I just ordered from the menu) and chose the Asparagus Soup, and the Snapper. Both were exactly what I expected in quality but so robust in their flavors and cooked just right. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. But the star of the evening was some squid and scallop appetizer that is probably the best thing I have eaten so far this year. Unique, lightly spicey and impossible to stop eating until it was done, it had a pesto and grilled bread that all worked so well together AND separately. Not just the star of the evening, but the star of the entire week!! The dessert was just right too. Strawberry funnel cake is always a favorite of mine.

Went to this one with friends and my husband. Started with a nice selection of cocktails, new bartender so a little slow but they were tasty when we got them. Kyle our server was great with recommendations. We all ordered variations of the Prix Fixe Menu for Food week plus a couple of appetizers at Kyle’s recommendations. So glad we did.
