Reno is known as a wine town. The star on the Reno Arch should be replaced with a corkscrew. Curtis Worrall helped create this thriving local wine culture when he opened his first Whispering Vine Wine Co. in 1999 with a 10-seat bar and 400 wines. Today, there are four Whispering stores, with the Fourth Street shop and terrace becoming especially popular gathering spots.

As Reno Food & Drink week approaches, “I’m excited to show new customers what we do at Whispering Vine,” Curtis says. “I’m also excited to experience what other restaurants have to offer.”
