For more than 30 years, the Alpine building on Mount Rose Highway just beyond the entrance to Montrêux has housed restaurants. Its latest incarnation, the Lodge, opened in 2019, providing a neighborhood draw or a refreshment stop for folks heading to and from Lake Tahoe.
The menu, just the right size for a coffee and wine bar, showcases coffee drinks, wines by the glass and bottle, beer on tap, cocktail suggestions from the menu board, pizza and other snacks, and several sweets, including organic ice cream and espresso affogato.
