Participant: House of Bread
by Johnathan L. Wright
For House of Bread owner Tim Atwell, bread begins at home. “My wife Nathalie is French,” he explains, “and has a passion for fresh breads and pastries.” Daily offerings include cinnamon rolls, pumpkin pinwheels, muffins, scones, croissants and bagels. Pastry pockets offer filling like roast beef or chicken pot pie.
Pastries range from cookies to bars, brownies, energy bars, granola and croutons. Lunch sandwiches (including build-your-own) are some of the best in town thanks to fresh bread.
Everything is made fresh daily, by people that live here!Tim Atwell, owner

The Ace’s BLTA is named for young Mark Nichols, a proud Roy Gomm gopher. In the spring of 1998, when Mark was 8 years old, he played Little League baseball and his dad Ron was his coach. They had a great first season. Sadly, Mark died suddenly that summer of brain cancer. Ron’s nickname for his son was “Ace” and Mark would have loved this sandwich!
This sandwich idea came from a Rotary donation where the winner of the auction item was able to design a sandwich and name it for a year!Tim Atwell, Owner
