DoughBoys traces its origins to a Southern California shop opened by — yup — a Los Angeles police officer. The family-owned donut store opened a Reno outpost in 2009 as DoughBoys Donuts, with another Reno location and one in Sparks later joining the mother cruller.

Donuts, baked throughout the day, encompass classic cake, white cake and devil’s food cake versions; old-fashioned and raised donuts; bars and filled donuts; buttermilk donuts and crullers; donut holes; and specialty donuts like fritters and cinnamon rolls. The behemoth Big Boy donut is the size of a dozen in one. Want to support the Pack? There’s a wolf paw with blue icing.
