Participant: The Cheese Board

by Johnathan L. Wright

The Cheese Board, a pioneer of the city’s food and drink culture, turns 40 this year. A few years back, sisters Krista Kintop Phillips and Caitlin Kintop Fletcher purchased the restaurant from the founder. “She was a strong and amazing woman,” they say, “and we are so proud to carry that torch for the next generation.”

The menu at the bistro, a popular lunch spot, includes pork posole soup, a couscous-quinoa salad with chicken, a grazing board of cheeses and cured meats, a turkey focaccia sandwich, a lamb gyro and manicotti dinners to go. The Cheese Board also is one of Reno’s top caterers.
